Andre Russell

Andre Russell is a Jamaican all-rounder who has played for the West Indies in all formats of the game. He was born on April 29, 1988, in Jamaica.

Russell is a hard-hitting lower-order batsman who is capable of clearing the ropes with ease. He is also a useful fast bowler who can generate significant pace and swing the ball. He is known for his athleticism on the field and is a brilliant fielder.

Russell made his international debut for the West Indies in 2010 in a T20I against Pakistan. He made his ODI debut in 2011 against Ireland, and his Test debut came in 2010 against Sri Lanka. He has since gone on to become a regular in the West Indies squad across all formats of the game.

Russell has played in several T20 leagues around the world, including the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Big Bash League (BBL), and the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). He has been a crucial player for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL and has also played for the Sydney Thunder in the BBL.

As of my knowledge cutoff date of September 2021, Russell has played in 68 ODIs, scoring 1525 runs at an average of 27.50 and taking 92 wickets at an average of 29.18. In T20Is, he has played in 58 matches, scoring 1013 runs at a strike rate of 148.07 and taking 43 wickets at an average of 23.46. In Tests, he has played in 51 matches, scoring 1900 runs at an average of 27.14 and taking 163 wickets at an average of 28.99.
