Aiden Markram

Aiden Markram is a South African cricketer who was born on 4 October 1994 in Centurion, South Africa. He is a top-order batsman and occasional off-spin bowler. He made his international debut for South Africa in 2017.

Career Stats:

Markram has played 27 Test matches for South Africa, scoring 1605 runs at an average of 39.39, including 5 centuries and 6 half-centuries. In ODI cricket, he has played 28 matches, scoring 788 runs at an average of 29.18, including 1 century and 5 half-centuries. He has also played 6 T20Is, scoring 92 runs at an average of 18.40.

In domestic cricket, Markram has played for the Titans franchise in South Africa. He has scored 3131 runs in 56 first-class matches, including 9 centuries and 16 half-centuries. In List A cricket, he has scored 1461 runs in 41 matches, including 4 centuries and 6 half-centuries.

Achievements:

• Markram was the captain of the South African Under-19 team that won the 2014 ICC Under-19 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
• In 2017, he made his Test debut for South Africa against Bangladesh and scored 97 runs in his first innings, becoming the fourth South African to score a half-century on debut.
• Markram scored his first Test century against the same team in his second Test match in 2017.
• In 2018, he was appointed as the captain of the South African Test team, but he was later replaced by Faf du Plessis.
• Markram scored his highest Test score of 152 against Sri Lanka in February 2019.
• He has also been a part of the Indian Premier League (IPL), representing the Pune Supergiants in 2017 and the Kings XI Punjab in 2018.
