Akeal Hosein

Akeal Hosein is a cricketer from Trinidad and Tobago who plays as a left-arm orthodox spinner. He was born on 25 October 1993 in Trinidad and Tobago.

Hosein made his first-class debut for Trinidad and Tobago in 2014 and has since become a regular member of the team in both first-class and List A cricket. He made his T20 debut for Trinidad and Tobago in 2017 and played for the Trinbago Knight Riders in the 2018 Caribbean Premier League.

Hosein was picked by the Kolkata Knight Riders for the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL) season and played in a few matches for the team. He has also played for the West Indies cricket team in T20Is, making his debut in March 2021. So far, he has played 5 T20Is for the West Indies and has taken 8 wickets at an average of 12.50 and an economy rate of 5.35.
