Anukul Roy

Anukul Roy is an Indian cricketer born on November 30, 1998, in Bihar, India. He is a left-arm orthodox spinner and a left-handed batsman who plays domestic cricket for Jharkhand.

Roy made his List A debut for Jharkhand in the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy and made his first-class debut in the same season for Jharkhand in the Ranji Trophy. He was also part of the India Under-19 team that won the 2018 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, where he was the joint highest wicket-taker in the tournament with 14 wickets. He was also awarded the Player of the Tournament for his performances.

Roy was subsequently picked up by the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the 2018 season, but he didn’t play a match that year. He made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians in 2019, and he played in two matches that season, taking two wickets.

Overall, Roy is a talented young spinner with excellent control and variations in his bowling. He has the potential to become a regular in the Jharkhand team and to represent India at the international level in the future.
