Kane Williamson

Kane Williamson is a New Zealand cricketer who is considered one of the best batsmen in the world. He was born on August 8, 1990 in Tauranga, New Zealand.

Williamson made his debut for the New Zealand cricket team in 2010 and has since become one of their most important players. He is known for his elegant and technically sound batting style, which has earned him a reputation as a top-class Test cricketer.

Williamson has played in all three formats of the game – Test cricket, One Day Internationals (ODIs), and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). He has a batting average of over 50 in Test cricket, which is considered to be a remarkable achievement. He has also been a consistent performer in limited-overs cricket.

Some of Williamson’s career achievements include:

  • In 2015, he was named the ICC ODI Player of the Year.
  • In 2018, he was named New Zealand’s Player of the Year at the New Zealand Cricket Awards.
  • In 2019, he was named the Player of the Tournament in the ICC Cricket World Cup, where he led New Zealand to the final.
  • He has been ranked as the number one Test batsman in the world on several occasions.

As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, Williamson has played 85 Tests, scoring 7,215 runs at an average of 53.50, with 24 centuries and 32 half-centuries. In ODIs, he has played 153 matches, scoring 6,102 runs at an average of 47.49, with 14 centuries and 39 half-centuries. In T20Is, he has played 73 matches, scoring 1,798 runs at an average of 32.69, with 11 half-centuries.
