Maheesh Theekshana

Maheesh Theekshana is a Sri Lankan cricketer born on 20 December 2000 in Balangoda, Sri Lanka. He is a right-arm leg-spinner and a lower-order right-handed batsman.

Theekshana made his international debut for Sri Lanka in September 2021 in a T20I against South Africa. In the same match, he picked up a hat-trick in his debut over, becoming the first bowler to achieve this feat in T20Is on debut.

Theekshana had impressed in the Sri Lanka domestic circuit, particularly in the 2020–21 season, where he picked up 47 wickets in 10 matches at an average of 16.23 in first-class cricket. He had also performed well in the shorter formats, with 18 wickets in 14 matches at an average of 16.11 in List A cricket and 14 wickets in 13 matches at an average of 22.14 in T20s.
