Mayank Agarwal

Mayank Agarwal is an Indian cricketer who was born on February 16, 1991, in Bangalore, Karnataka. He is a right-handed opening batsman who plays for Karnataka in domestic cricket and for the Indian national cricket team in international cricket.

Career Stats:

Agarwal has played 77 first-class matches and has scored 5783 runs at an average of 49.30, including 19 centuries and 20 half-centuries. He has also played 80 List A matches, scoring 3412 runs at an average of 46.95, including 10 centuries and 17 half-centuries, and has taken 19 wickets with his off-spin bowling.

In T20 cricket, Agarwal has played 102 matches, scoring 2531 runs at an average of 27.11, including 16 half-centuries.

Achievements:

• Agarwal made his first-class debut for Karnataka in 2013 and scored his maiden century in only his third match.
• In the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy season, Agarwal was the leading run-scorer, scoring 1160 runs in 13 matches at an average of 105.45, including 5 centuries and 3 half-centuries.
• Agarwal made his international debut for India in 2018 against Australia in a Test match in Melbourne. He scored his maiden Test century against the same opponent in Sydney in the following match.
• In the 2019-20 home Test series against South Africa, Agarwal scored his second Test century in only his fifth Test match, becoming the joint-fastest Indian to score two Test centuries.
• Agarwal also played for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and was the team’s leading run-scorer in the 2019 season, scoring 332 runs in 13 matches at an average of 25.53, including 1 century and 1 half-century.
