Mayank Markande

Mayank Markande is an Indian cricketer who was born on November 11, 1997, in Bathinda, Punjab. He is a right-arm leg-spinner who has represented various teams in domestic and franchise cricket.

Markande made his List A debut for Punjab in 2018 and his first-class debut for Punjab in 2018-19. He got his breakthrough in the 2018 Indian Premier League (IPL) while playing for the Mumbai Indians, where he took 15 wickets in 14 matches and became the team’s leading wicket-taker. He also played for the Rajasthan Royals in the 2019 IPL and the Delhi Capitals in the 2020 IPL.

In his T20 career, Markande has taken 40 wickets in 42 matches, with a best bowling performance of 4/23. He has also played in one first-class match, where he took four wickets. However, he is yet to make his debut in List A cricket.

Markande’s impressive performances in the IPL earned him a place in the India A squad for the tour of New Zealand in 2020. However, he is yet to make his debut for the senior Indian cricket team.
