Shahbaz Ahmed

Shahbaz Ahmed is an Indian cricketer who plays as a left-handed batsman and left-arm orthodox bowler. He was born on December 14, 1994, in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

Shahbaz made his debut for Bengal in 2018 and played an instrumental role in Bengal’s run to the final of the 2019-20 Ranji Trophy, picking up 35 wickets in 10 matches. He was subsequently bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2020 IPL auction but didn’t get many opportunities to play.

In the 2021 IPL, Shahbaz was retained by Royal Challengers Bangalore and played a key role in the team’s campaign. He took a match-winning three-wicket haul against Sunrisers Hyderabad in a low-scoring encounter and was also handy with the bat, scoring 59 runs in seven innings.
