Trent Boult

Trent Boult is a New Zealand cricketer who was born on July 22, 1989, in Rotorua, New Zealand. He is a left-arm fast bowler who is known for his ability to swing the ball both ways.

Career Stats:

Boult made his international debut for New Zealand in 2011 and has since played in all formats of the game. He has played a total of 77 Tests, 93 ODIs, and 44 T20Is, taking 390, 172, and 53 wickets, respectively.

In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Boult has played for the Sunrisers Hyderabad, the Kolkata Knight Riders, the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals), and the Mumbai Indians. He has played a total of 47 matches and has taken 63 wickets at an average of 27.37 and an economy rate of 8.70.

Achievements:

• Boult was named New Zealand’s Player of the Year in 2015 and 2018.
• He has taken two hat-tricks in international cricket, one in Tests and one in ODIs.
• Boult was the leading wicket-taker for New Zealand in the 2015 World Cup, where he took 22 wickets in nine matches.
• In the 2019 World Cup final against England, Boult took 2 wickets for 67 runs in his 10 overs, including the wicket of Ben Stokes, but was unable to prevent New Zealand from losing in the super over.
• In the 2020 IPL final, Boult took 3 wickets for 30 runs in his 4 overs, helping the Mumbai Indians win the match and the title. He was also named the Player of the Match for his performance.
• Boult was the leading wicket-taker for New Zealand in the 2021 T20 World Cup, where he took 12 wickets in six matches.
